a weight too sharp to hold
This is a post-war mix for post-war kids living in a post-war world. To me, Hermione is a mystery. This is my attempt to seek her out. I don't know who she is, not really. I know who she becomes, but I don't know why. I know how others see her, I don't know how she sees herself. I know she belongs some place, but I don't know it's location. I know she is included, but always orbiting. There's this separation that happens and I don't have the defining language. I can only find her in this depressing area of heartache and broken spirit. Curses Joanne, curses! It started with a kerfuffle from beyond the enemy lines therein ignited a monster of feelings that sprouted ideas that got written down into words that made sentences which morphed into paragraphs that needed to be sorted in a logical order so a narrative could happen before it was unleashed on the world. Then there were notes that turned into phrases that latched on to a melody that evolved from a soup of amorphous expression which got pinned down into several conduits of mood from which visual accompaniment sprung and lazy fiddling about with ocular minutia came together in this string of harmony.

Oh, and Harry came along, sneaky kid (if this is new information you may not want to be here). Also, I learned the <'DIV ALIGN'> code. heck yes!

walk the fleet road // editors

a winter wind blows in from the north
scratches your spine cold like the forth
but you're a long way from home
through the dark we tiptoe

put there by the land // great lake swimmers

there's a mark on my hand put there by the land
can't you see it's in me can't you see
there's a mark on the land put there by my hand

fireplace // lost in the trees

so surround yourself with good people
i know it's painful but we can stand
and if this plan can't work then tear my hand
with a burst soul healing is difficult

i say no // anna ternheim

give you second chances easily
we wait for answers for hours and years
but the sadness in your eyes won't go away
it becomes you in a strange kind of way
i wonder were you come from who you've been
what you gain if you win
but my guess is right you break like glass
and i wonder where your god was then

waves at night // phosphorescent

the waves at night all brave and bright
the dance hall lights o’er all your life
to lay and weep to trade our teeth
to aim and achieve grace and peace

under your leaves // the concretes

you know i'll do anything for you
bring singing birds to your crown
climb to the very top of you
though i might fall

beautiful girl // william fitzsimmons

let down your arms
the purging of this dark
the fall to free
let the sunrise come again
may the weight of world resign
you will get better

fires // fences

she no longer will follow the boy with wild eyes
she no longer will tame him while he dances in fires
he'll build you a shelter using his hands
you know that he'll love you the only way he can

make a name for me and you // rachael cantu

and i know your vices and those are your choices
and i want to be there for you
this blaze of sunrise is burning in my eyes
and i want them to burn here with you
