Ou! The dynamic tension of the photo! Can you feel it? I was bored on the plane so I took a pic of the overhead compartments. Then I found my book and read the entire flight.
A closet door in my auntie's house with everyone's height on it. Guess who's not there? This bitch right here *points to self*. Oh, the love, it's overwhelming...
A wee!cousin being exuberant over a game of stickball in the street. She's cute, but she's a brat.
And cos I had the bovvered face I went exploring in the back woods of the house for some alone time. Then it was off to Seattle.
~ * ~
...but in the morning we went to Vancouver.
Lookit! how bright the signs are!!!
Caprica at day. Caprica at night. This is the park on the water. They filmed Papadama's papa talking to Papadama's uncle to work for the Tauron's or something like that... But, BUT also in DaVinci's Inquest. Hee. And possibly every other thing filmed in Vancouver. But I'm sure most of the flist knows that... how many of you have been to/are from Van? *has lost count*
The moon over Beautiful BC.
~ * ~
Beautiful flowers in the sun room of my auntie's* house. *Note: The cool auntie that is. In Seattle there was so much to do and I didn't get to do it all. Bah. Oh well, just one more reason to go back, eh?
Then the Experience Music Project where they had this automated guitar tower. M'kay... there was a Jimi Hendrix room/wing/whatevers. It's very neat for those that know nothing about music or Jimi, like The Bro. He had an eye opening experience there.
The Jim Henson stuff was on display. OMG! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW FULL OF SQUEE I WAS! JIM HENSON! I asked one of the docents/*insert title of person who works there* if they had Farscape stuff on display too. I got a deer in headlights look and replied: 'For shame. How can you be in the History of Science Fiction Museum with JIM HENSON on display and NOT have Farscape?! For. Shame.'
Paul's stilsuit from DUNE! DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNE! MUADIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIB! And the grappling hook to ride the worms. "Stilgar, do we have wormsign?" "Usul, we have wormsign the likes of which even God has never seen." "Then I say unto thee, SUMMON THE WORMS!" Yes, I bastardised that quote with a tag from CoD miniseries but who's keeping track? OH, DUNE!!! Must. Watch.
...and then I got busted for taking pictures in there. Erm... oops?
The next day we went to the Locks and HOLY COW THAT WAS AWESOME! It's where Sig and his crew disembark from and they had the end of the season 2? 3? of Deadliest Catch. The Bro took a pic of the Captain's Table at the restaurant right on the water called The Lockspot. ...and I forgot my camera that day. *Note to self: find a really good travel bag.
In conclusion, I'm going back to Seattle. Whether it be for the Emerald City ComiCon, an Alaskan cruise or just cos Seattle is my next destination.
