Um. No.
That TBBT ep was CRAP. Utter. Crap. It just proves how uninteresting Leonard really is. However, it also showcased the amusement Penny gets out of Sheldon. It's adorkable.

Dear Show,

Can you stop sucking in the near and distant future?

No love,
Me.

This is where you and I differ. I thought the whole ep was about Sheldon and how insane he really is. Didn't really think it had anything to do with Leonard besides the fact that he was the narrator.

As far as filler eps go, it was fairly decent.

I didn't even laugh. Not once. Not a chuckle or a grin or a moment of 'I enjoy this show' except for the part where The Mother said: 'That was junk'. I just didn't enjoy it.

Yes, Sheldon is insane but um, that's why we love him. Using him as the buttofeveryjokeforthentirepisode and making fun of his idiosyncratic/neurotic behaviour seems out of sorts with the show I fell in love with. There used to be a balance. A give and take of insult and endearing friendship. I think I'm more frustrated with the way TPTBs are handling the fubar situation they created for themselves.

Here's the stuff I did like: 1. Sheldon literally saved Leonard's life and if that ain't a great basis for friendship, then I don't know what is. That was more recognisable to me as the Leonard I liked at the beginning of this show. 2. Jim Parsons did an excellent job at differentiating Sheldon-from-seven-years-ago to Sheldon-we-know-now because, while Sheldon may be grating/insensitive to social situations it was due to his lack of awareness that he was in a social situation. Evolution of homo-novus. We got to see that.
